Dhulikhel is another popular tourist destination for nature seekers. The view of the northern mountain range including the Everest range can be seen as very neat and clear from here on a clear day. The oldest town Dhulikhel stands east to the Kathmandu valley which gave the eastern fortification to it. The Tibetan traders and invaders could easily make way through Dhulikhel so this city was very importantly taken care of during the medieval era.
The view of the mountain, the terrains of hills and the geographical feature are the outstanding attraction of Dhulikhel. Namobuddha is the most important pilgrimage site of the Buddhist. The ninth Buddha ( Namo Buddha ) got rewarded for one of the great karma to the hungry tigress and her cubs. The ninth Buddha cut his flesh and fed them. As a result, his ninth reincarnation was also rewarded and added on more jewel to the Boddhisatva. Balthali is the pristine village located on the lap of lush green hills. The view of the mountains from there is rewarding. far away from the madding crowd, Balthali is a heaven on earth.
You will be picked up from Kathmandu after breakfast to Dhulikhel. We will start a hike to Namobuddha. The cultural old city Dhulikhel is the traditional trade city. it was the supply point of goods and commodities brought by the traders from Tibet. The local traders used to buy from them and supply to the Kathmandu valley. This evening we will stay at the Namobudhha (Monastery). They also provide a hotel service to the foreign guest. We will observe the life of monks and the Buddhist teaching and way of living. We will participate in the ritual meditation sessions (time permissible).
The next morning after breakfast, we will start the 10 km long hike from Namobuddha for 4- 5 hours. Our walk through the village, valley, and rivers makes the most remarkable memories. The closeness to the Nepali culture and way of Nepal living takes you very close to Nepal’s heart. You will feel the Peace, hospitable and well-coming gesture of the Nepalese hospitality. This evening you stay at one of the resorts at the Balthali.
Our hike starts from Balthali after breakfast. We will walk for 2-3 hours through the village and witness the rural life of the people. The green paddy fields and the agricultural field are alluring. You will see the green lush valley from this hill crown. We will reach to the Panauti through the old town called khopasi. Panauti one of the culturally rich old town set at around 13 th century. You will be picked up for Kathmandu from Panauti.
